During the holy month of Ramadan, the University of Manitoba Muslim Students’ Association (UMMSA) has been providing free daily iftar meals to support fasting students and build community on campus.

Each evening at sundown, students gather to enjoy a warm and welcoming communal meal after a day of fasting. These dinners not only offer nourishment but also foster a sense of unity, belonging, and spiritual reflection.
Hundreds of students have attended throughout the month, with the initiative growing in scale and spirit thanks to the incredible efforts of volunteers and the support of donors and community partners.
We’re proud to continue this tradition that brings people together in the spirit of generosity, compassion, and shared values.
